Fundraiser's Guide Rationale

First resource guide - Fundraiser's Guide to Growing Sponsors and Donors

Most fundraisers for science fairs are volunteers from a wide variety of experiences and most have no fundraising guidance or professional training.

Hence there is need for some baseline fundraiser's guidance that is aligned to science fairs to improve the results for volunteer fundraisers.

This future guide is based on acquired experience of the author in the struggles and successes of his fundraising for the ORSF and the CWSF.   It also will be strongly influenced from contributions from others including science fair fundraisers.  Once the guide is released, those who are doing fundraising will find a pdf document here.  Please consider contributing any advice and ideas you may have if you feel it will help.
CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS:  If you are a fundraiser for any organization including science fairs, or you just have some suggestions, please feel free to contribute your ideas by with the button below or by contacting me.   The more good advice submitted, the better will be the first release of this guide.  Besides the do and don't suggestions, you can contribute anecdotal stories of successes.  Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide.

Your ideas are important!

Collectively we should be able to pool our ideas and share them among all science fair fundraisers in the form of an evolving guide.   It will be updated from time to time as new contributions come in from experienced fundraisers that care to share with this website any contributions they feel will be useful.   All fundraisers, whether volunteers or professionals, and science fairs or other youth endeavors, may have valuable suggestions for content.
Note: The Fundraiser's Guide will be released when there are sufficient content contributions.
"The qualities of our youth - their skills, energy, and entrepreneurship, plus our ability to encourage and retain them - therein is the best foundation for the quality of our future"
